This year the Columbines (Aquilegia caerulea) have been thick in the woods, coming up in places they’ve never been seen before, fields of them. They must have loved the long cold winter and the late thaw.

July 2010 has been the wettest on record since recording began in the early 1900s. Dusk was often greeted by beautiful shapes and colors, as the storms rolled through. This one greeted us Fourth of July Weekend.Location:
